500 HORSE CARCASSES ON WAGGA WAGGA PROPERTY

By now we are guessing that most Australians have heard about the shocking
discovery of 500 horse carcasses on a Wagga Wagga property.

It is alleged that Adrian Talbot who has identified himself as a person of interest has been operating an illegal knackery and slaughtering wild heritage horses known in Australia as Brumbies – along with racehorses.

Talbot claims that he’s only slaughtered 30 to 40 horses to feed his own dogs.

Many have found it interesting that at one time he was listed as an official Brumby re-homer.

It appears he was removed from the official Brumby re-homer list in August of 2023.

Since 2020 we’ve heard again and again that Talbot was shooting adult horses and selling the meat to those racing greyhounds — selling the foals — but slaughtering other horses.

We’ve watched his social media accounts and noticed that he’s been looking for “cool room parts”. In other words parts to expand his refrigeration area.

Would it be safe to assume that he wanted to be better able to store horse meat?

Additionally we’ve noticed multiple social media posts stating he is looking to acquire ponies and horses.

It also appears that as of February 2024 Talbot is on the [Horse] Racing NSW
“Excluded” List.

Meaning that he is not to be considered a re-homer of race horses.

This most often happens when Racing NSW has equine welfare concerns.

It appears from watching Talbot’s social media posts that when Talbot could realise a quick and easy profit by re-homing AKA selling a foal or for example a horse of an unusual colour that he would do so.

Otherwise with 500 horses carcasses found on the property — it appears that most were simply slaughtered and butchered – we’re guessing – to be sold as dog food for the greyhound racing industry.

Many have been watching Talbot selling young horses and horses of desirable
colours using social media and many have been wondering why he’s not listed more horses for sale or to be re-homed over the last few years.

Many have also been wondering…

Why with all the horses that were being delivered to his property were more horses not showing up for sale?

It appears that now we have our answer.

It appears it was easier and more lucrative to slaughter most of the horses turned over to him than it was to re-home them.

We are wondering why with all the rumours floating around and multiple reports to authorities about this situation since 2020, and with Talbot being removed from the official list of Brumby re-homers over 7 months ago — why it’s taken so long for authorities to step in and begin an investigation?

YOU CAN HELP STOP THIS BARBARIC INHUMANE SLAUGHTER

A wild horse has the same capacity to feel pain and fear as a native animal, and their lives deserve the same level of dignity and respect.

We need to find a way to protect the native animals at risk, without hunting down Brumbies with helicopters, ground shooting or hauling them to be slaughtered at knackeries.

We urge you to join us in demanding the NSW government stop this cruel cull and adopt humane, non-lethal solutions.

1. Contact the PM & the MPs responsible:  Make your voice heard!  Demand an end to your tax dollars being used to massacre Brumbies.

2. Sign this petition:  Show the government the overwhelming public opposition to this barbaric practice.  BUT hurry before it's too late.

3. Contact the RSPCA NSW: Wild horses are suffering under RSPCA NSW inaction.  Take a stand.  Add your voice - fill out a quick form and urge others to join you.

4. Donate:  We are a volunteer-run organization relying on your support to end this cruelty.  Every donation -- no matter what size -- gets us closer to our goal.
