May 6, 2024: According to the Sydney Morning Herald 3,000 WILD HORSES, including foals, have been terrorized by being chased with -- and then shot from -- helicopters in Kosciuszko National Park, NSW, Australia in just 30 DAYS.
And yes, even BABIES are being massacred from helicopters.
DEATHS ARE LONG-DRAWN-OUT. NOT INSTANTANEOUS.
That number is horrific enough without the fact that the SMH also reports since October of 2023 -- 6797 have been gunned down.
DR. ANDREA HARVEY DEATHS ARE NOT HUMANE
While we often disagree with Ray Hadley, we find common ground on the issue of horse culling in Kosciuszko National Park (KNP).

If you are just now beginning to learn about what’s happening with the current Brumby massacre – WELCOME & THANK YOU FOR CARING.

One of the most frequently asked questions about the long drawn out deaths of wild horses during this massacre is…
Where is the RSPCA while this inhumane slaughtering of wild horses is happening? Surely they must be taking action against these barbaric slaughters.
That’s a very good question.
On October 20, 21, 22, 2000 an “aerial “cull” was conducted by National Parks & Wildlife Services (NPWS) contractors from helicopter in Guy Fawkes River National Park (GFRNP), NSW.
In July of 2002 the RSPCA NSW filed 12 charges against the NPWS alleging cruelty to animals, yet this time around…
It appears that even though the RSPCA’s own Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) when it comes to shooting horses is NOT being followed – yes really – keep reading below…
The RCPCA have NOT spoken out and are NOT taking action.
Quite the opposite, they are accused of being not only neglectful but complicit.

KNOW ENOUGH? READY TO TAKE ACTION?
It pains us to have to say this but after years of supporting the RSPA NSW with financial contributions we will NOT be doing so again.

RSCPA COMPLICIT & NEGLECTFUL | ABOUT REGIONAL
26 March 2024:
[Emma Hurst’s] comments follow the news two Snowy Mountains residents had last weekend lodged a cruelty complaint with the NSW RSPCA following the recent discovery of three fresh horse carcasses in the Pilot Wilderness Region with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, which marked a departure from the RSPCA’s aerial shooting standard operating practices (SOPs) which dictate only head (brain) or chest (heart/lung) shots.
Shooting to other parts of the body, the RSPCA SOPs state, is unacceptable.
The report further alleged the aerial shooting operations took place in weather characterised by heavy fog and light rain, in contravention of the SOPs, which stipulate, for safety reasons, that shooting from a helicopter cannot be done in adverse weather conditions.
It is understood the shooting took place on 14 March.
RSPCA NSW said in this matter, the informant implicated RSPCA NSW as the person of interest and due to this, RSPCA NSW referred the matter to NSW Police immediately.
The police said there was no police investigation of the complaint.
Nationals MLC Wes Fang said the RSPCA was deficient in its oversight over the NPWS’s aerial shooting operations by not insisting cameras be used to monitor all activity and it should pull its support for the SOPs.
YOU CAN HELP STOP THIS BARBARIC INHUMANE SLAUGHTER
A wild horse has the same capacity to feel pain and fear as a native animal, and their lives deserve the same level of dignity and respect.
We need to find a way to protect the native animals at risk, without hunting down Brumbies with helicopters, ground shooting or hauling them to be slaughtered at knackeries.
We urge you to join us in demanding the NSW government stop this cruel cull and adopt humane, non-lethal solutions.
1. Contact the PM & the MPs responsible: Make your voice heard! Demand an end to your tax dollars being used to massacre Brumbies.
2. Sign this petition: Show the government the overwhelming public opposition to this barbaric practice. BUT hurry before it's too late.
3. Contact the RSPCA NSW: Wild horses are suffering under RSPCA NSW inaction. Take a stand. Add your voice - fill out a quick form and urge others to join you.
4. Donate: We are a volunteer-run organization relying on your support to end this cruelty. Every donation -- no matter what size -- gets us closer to our goal.
